It's Brenda's birthday today.
I bought her a lens to celebrate but as I didn't know her size, I have kept the receipt.
I took it to Parkwood Springs to test it.
It seems fine. I hope she likes it.

To both occasional readers of my blog.
Ecclesfield Church, taken with a £20 Olympus C1000L, boasting a massive 850,000 pickles.

Mexborough (canal, flour mill and church) has a magnetic pull for me and while I was wandering around the churchyard yesterday, Digilux 3 in hand, the vicar popped by and invited me in.
A combination of needing two pairs of spectacles, feeling rushed and tiny Digilux controls resulted in a suite of blurred images with only one being just about presentable.
There is a Norman aisle so a return visit with another camera (and even a tripod!!!) is planned.
There's a good gang of gargoyles and grotesques.

One of the dubious benefits of using too many cameras is that I come across images that I had forgotten about as SD cards are shared between several cameras.

Hemmingfield Colliery was one of the Fitzwilliam mines as a canal was dug to aid the transport of the coal.

Using the (£10) Sony PM1 yesterday led to it being designated as the worst digital camera that I have owned. Lack if stabilisation and tiny lens aperture being the main shortcomings despite it being a cheerful orange colour. Using it on a dull day didn't help.
