The South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum is a full of stuff, thrown together in too small a space with little explanation. It is a collection of wonderful machines produced when Britain was a very different place and a world leader in aeronautical design and engineering. However the balance between their beauty as objects, their superb engineering and their destructive power was hard to reconcile in our cosier post Cold War world.
