It seemed amazing that I had not heard of the wonderful Barrow Hill site, near Staveley. I was totally knocked out and have become mesmerised by Deltic engines. The turntable and other exhibits were pretty good too.
I went with Mike, who grew up with the sound of Deltic engines when he went train spotting in York.
