I went out to enjoy some cooler dampness and was surprised to find Wentworth Old Church open. It's a lovely little jewel with much history of the Earls of Strafford and Fitzwilliam family. I've always had an interest in the Earl of Stafford as he was beheaded on my birthday.

Light conditions were challenging and without a tripod sharpness was largely pot luck.

The congregation were in no doubt about the "charitable" bequests the "great" family had made. It reminded me of an old Hancock sketch, where Tony kept a list of all his charitable donations and would pull it out and recite it when accused of being mean.
