The final Heritage Open Day took me to the SGC, although it is open all the time and therefore a favourite spot for drug dealing and anything else that requires spooky seclusion. Much work is being undertaken but it is hard to say to what aim, although reducing the chances of large stone monuments falling on to small children would seem to be a worthwhile goal for the Elf of Safety.
We are about to sign up with the Co-op for our funeral-less disposal, in sharp contrast to the chaotic relics of the Victorian Way of Death.
