My first visit to the nearby, historic village of Kimberworth was a sunny one. I staggered around the churchyard of Saint Thomas's taking familiar images and enjoyed myself. I must return to try to find the Manor House.

Randon wanderings around Ferrybridge and Castleford were fun. However I decided not to take a camers ro RSPB Fairburn Ings and consequently missed a superb picture.

The Milleneum Bridge was featured on Kevin McCloud's TV programme as it's a significant structure. The programme is well worth watching

A barge, named Thomas, was lauched by vandals during a storm and has been jammed against rocks since 1977.

Finding Kimberworth Manor was both exciting and sad. It is a fine structure that has suffered greatly from the toxic industial pollution that existed in the area.
We met the owner's cousin who said it had not been lived in for three years.
