Seeking some solace from optical disputes, I pottered to Pontefract (Pomfret) where the medieval town plan is still discernable and the remains of the castle; "the key to the North", are impressive, although the only thing I photgraphed was a tent in the grounds and some music stands.

The sun was in precisely the wrong place but he probably thought the same about me.

I was let in to The Nelson Room, by a kindly caretaker in the Town Hall, and was knocked out (as always) by the impact.
