A sunny trip to Torquay left me sunburnt but smiling.
Day 1 started with a walk to Ansty's Cove and coffee at the beach café.
.
In the afternoon we boarded the ferry to Brixham and even though I took many pictures, walking round the town, I failed to notice that there was no memory card in the camera until getting on to the ferry back to Torquay.
.
We pottered around bustling Totnes on Day 2 and found this quiet corner, by the public toilets, at the top of the hill.
.
On Day 3 we watched wood being sawn, cars being paraded and men dressed as German soldiers and GIs in the enjoyable but crazy cocktail of nostalgia called the Torbay Steam Fair.

My healthy glow turned to raw red on Day 4 during a very sunny, but hatless, day on Great Mattiscombe Sands near Start Point lighthouse.
There was too much contrast for "classic" shots of rocks and sand so I resorted to saturated colours in the processing for a full (or is it over-full) impact.
