Mud and fog!

This is my first post for over a year and rather than try and catch up in one step, here are a few images from a walk we did yesterday. The conditions were poor but I slipped away from the group to take a few foggy images.

Bagger Woods will be full of bluebells in a few weeks, we hope.

I planned to rendezvous with the group at a nearby recreation ground but wandered off, confused, before they arrived.

.

While waiting for Brenda I noticed the very boring scene below.

.

To add a bit of Spanish sunshine here are a few shots from a coach trip to Casares in January.

Casares is a Andalusian white town built round a gorge which means it is possible to shoot one side from the other.

From the castle we could see Gibraltar, the Strait and the Rift Mountains beyond. One felt the world was a fair bit smaller.

This shot is hugely cropped

.

Next to the castle was the cemetery where literate dogs were not allowed to dig for bones.

.

We found a cheerful trio of mosaics tucked away in a small square.

Seeking some English sunshine, we collected Lucy and Stuart and nipped up to the tip of Roseberry Topping as one of Brenda's calendar trips and although the view from the top was rather misty, things improved when we looked up.

The iron frame was kindly provided by Huddersfield University.
