Panasonic Lumix FZ18

What with one thing and another I have been feeling a bit fed up recently. One remedy was to buy an old digital camera from a charity shop for under £20. With a Leica super zoom lens, what's not to like. Quite a bit really, including rapid battery drain and dismal viewing screens.

However I borrowed a 1MP card and set off to nearby Soughley where the River Don  streams between ancient stepping stones before cascading over a weir. There are also a couple of mill ponds that once fed an 18th century tin mill, which are now used for fishing.

Some familiar themes with ice adding a welcome bit of variety.

I have been impressed by some of Julieanne Kost passenger seat photos and this is my first attempt.

She reminded me of the fabulous Franco Fontana. An Italian genius!
