I have been rather oppressed with death and illness over recent weeks and photography has been pushed in to the background. So I decided to pop over to Huddersfield and check out a bit of industrial decay.
.
There are many derelict mills with budget options slotted in between.

Doors and windows are my first love. They seem to covey more than the sum of their parts.
.
.
The Victorian work ethic and "temples to industry" are all around; albeit roofless or converted in to flats.

.
Earlier in the week Brenda and I had visited a waterfall near Woodhead. A few dry days had restricted the flow but the sun caught the top of the fall and added some sparkle.
.
The stream that flowed down to the waterfall was very pretty.
.
I had tried to visit the waterfall a couple of weeks previously but the force was too strong to cross so I had to find some more familiar images.
