Street Art?

I got out of the habit of carrying a camera around in my briefcase but my new financial year's resolution is to do so more often.

Sheffield Council is trying to inject some new life in to the city centre and has sanctioned the building of a cinema complex on the site of the old Chesham House social security building. I am not sure if this busker is singing out the old or singing in the new.

.

Sheffield city centre was full of small cutlery workshops, their owners being know locally as the Little Mesters. These are mostly derelict and awaiting transformation in to flats for Chinese students.

.

I found that one derelict site had been taken over as a three dimensional "canvas" for street artists.

There seems to be some common themes, such as words made up of skwigey, overlapping letters, but generally all is random and colourful.

A trip to Barnsley Sunday Market only produced a colourful, out of order, lift lobby and a strange roofscape.
